Mr. Shantilal Jain brings decades of hands-on experience in structural engineering, with deep expertise in RCC building design and high-rise structures. He has played a key role in shaping complex projects across Mumbai and adjoining regions, earning the trust of developers, architects, and authorities alike. As a member of multiple government and IS code committees, his insights influence both practice and policy. What this really means is steady leadership, sound judgment, and structures that stand the test of time

EXPERIENCE

Having Self Experience of more than 40 years Mr. S H Jain established firm Struct Bombay Consultants. A leading Structural Consultancy firm having office at Mumbai. Carrying out consultancy work in structural design of High-Rise Buildings.

  • Member High Rise Buildings Committee – Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (Since 2013 to 2020).
  • Committee Member for Identification of Dilapidated/Danger building in Navi Mumbai (Constructed by CIDCO) Since 2015 to 2019.
  • Past Chairman & Council Member the Institution of Engineers(I) MSC. & Council member the Institution Of Engineer(I).
  • Substitute Member of Past Technical Committee of High Rise in Mumbai (April, 2009 to July, 2010).
  • President Indian Society of Structural Engineer.
  • Past Executive Council Member of INSTITUTE FOR STEEL DEVELOPMENT & GROWTH (INSDAG)
  • Member on Panel for revision of important BIS codes related to Civil Engineering (CED2) which includes IS-456/IS-13311 etc.
  • Members of Panel (Appointed by Govt. of Maharashtra as per direction of HIGH COURT of Mumbai) for Declaring Building Dilapidated, unstable and unsafe for Reconstruction of Ceased Building in Mumbai 2005/2006.
  • Appointment of court Commissioner in L.C. Suit No. 1625 of 2017 in case of shore pile failure at Wadala.
  • Member of Expert Review Panel as per IS-16700 for High Rise Building for Mumbai by MCGM (From April 2021)
